In our historic downtown, shop galleries or retail shops or take a trip to view the lighthouses of the Apostle Islands beaten path.  Outdoor adventures are also plentiful, an authentic wilderness experience can be had just a few miles offshore within the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore boundaries. Made up of 21 islands and 12 miles of mainland, including famous sea caves, visitors can hike, camp, and boat amongst these pristine landscapes. Sailboat and powerboat charters are available to transport visitors to the islands or take a narrated cruise to overview the history and culture of these spectacular landforms.
